My Trusty Mountaineer

So wouldn’t you know that my Mountaineer got sick this weekend!  It had a cough for a while, ( a ever so slight thumping noise). Then Friday on our way back from Babies R Us, the slight noise wasn’t so slight anymore.  It turned into a very loud growling/grinding noise.  All brakes and rotors needed to be replaced.  So I called to price shop, to see how much to have it done……  Yikes bad idea.  First off I am a woman and men who work at car places think less of us women or just want to take advantage of us (I will never get anything done at Midas-complete jerk over the phone!).  So needless to say it was an unpleasant, price shocking experience!  Thank goodness my husband was able to do them with the guys from work!  Phew!  At less than half the cost.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I don’t think my frugal brain could have handle anything more right now at 8 1/2 months pregnant.  Now my Mountaineer brakes like new!  Knock on wood- hopefully it will be healthy for a long time now!
