Ultrasound Picture

I went for my ultrasound on Tuesday.  I got to see the baby it has a cute chubby face.  They estimate it to be 7.5 lbs already.  Looks like we are going to have a nice size baby.  Here is the picture if you can make it out.

38 weeks and I’m still Prego!

Swelling, numbness, braxton hicks, back pain & head aches.  Yes that is what I am experiencing.  My swelling is getting worse, it moved up my legs to my calfs (which now look like Nicole Richie’s waist).  Lovely!  At the doctor appointment Monday I was 1 cm dialated.  Woo-Hoo!  I told her that my hand is constantly numb now,and my feet/legs really don’t bend any more – she said yes your swelling is bad, however; your blood pressure is good.  So next Monday I am going for an ultrasound to see how big the baby is and then we are going to go from there.  Hopefully I am dialted more and things move along.  So maybe we will have the baby soon!  I will be sure to update after the appointment on Monday!

Here is a funny tidbit- My mom and I went to the mall.  We were walking out of the restroom and my mom heard these lady’s say “Oh my God did you see how fat her legs and feet are!”  I think I should join the circus sideshow before my normal feet come back! Might as well cash in on it! lol

Ha Ha!  Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, it did.  My feet and ankles are totally funny looking now.  If you are squeamish, I worn you not to click the picture link below.  Thank goodness it hasn’t been hot – today it was a high of 60, maybe. Dream = Girl ?

I am over 35 weeks now.  Crazy!  4 weeks from this coming up Thursday is D-Day!  I couldn’t be more excited.  I think the baby wants to come out just as much as I want it too.  I can tell it is really running out of room and trying to kick, stretch and roll it’s way to a more comfy spot ( of course at the cost of my comfort!)  Now I know why women are done in their last month.  I am getting ready to get my normal feet back, say good bye to back pain, have normal hands that don’t go numb and tingle (they are swelling too now) and start working hard to get my body back.  Don’t get me wrong I love being pregnant and appreciate every minute of the miracle it is.  However, I am reaching my “I am ready point”! 

Dreams- I have never dreamed so much in my life!  I thought it’s because I am so tired, but I have read it can be due to pregnancy.  So I just had my 5th dream that I am having a girl.  Does that mean girl?  Nick and I didn’t find out what the baby is- and I am dying to know.  When I first found out I was pregnant my first thought was that it was going to be a girl.  Then after looking at the Chinese gender calendar (click the link below)

Which I have seen it be right and wrong for people, it said we were suppose to have a boy.  Most people started telling me they thought I was having a boy since I was carrying out in front.  So then I thought boy. Hmmm….  Then I looked at every wives tale and got the following:

Drano test = Boy

Internet Intelligender Test = Boy

Carrying high = Girl

Orange Juice Craving = Girl

Heart beat has been 140’s = Girl (because it is over 140)

Ring over tummy = Girl

Dreams = Girl

So yes my conclusion is still it’s going to be a baby - boy or girl.  I read that wives tales, including the gender calendar are right 50% of the time.  So in that case I could flip a coin and it would be just as accurate.  My intuition says I am having a little girl.  However I could be wrong and would be just as happy to have a little boy.  Now that it is getting closer and I am the planner that I am – I just really want to know!
