Time Perception

By Ruchell

Realize today what you have,

For tomorrow is inevitable.

Now is for certain, but anything beyond this second brings on change.

One minute ago doesn’t seem like the past,

But that one minute multiplies into years in one second.

Soon everything you found comforting in today will be memories and times of the past.

Once you open your eyes you can take in all that has changed and brought you to this second.

Before you know it, that one minute is in the past and in one second it is years once again.

The Bigger Picture

"Fifty years from now it will not matter what kind of car you drove, what kind of house you lived in, how much you had in the bank account, or what your clothes looked like. But the world may be a little brighter becasue you were important in the life of a child." -Anonymous
